JEOPARD, the Java environment for parallel real-time development project, is developing software for multicore systems.A fundamental change in the design and development of embedded systems software is required to fully exploit the power of multicore systems. There is already increasing demand for efficient development of reliable embedded software that can give real-time guarantees and exploit the available power of multicore systems. This exhibit is organised by the JEOPARD project. It will demonstrate newly developed software tools and platform technologies that exploit multicore power and ‘field programmable gate array’ (FPGA) components while ensuring correctness and predictable timing. These tools are being validated by leading European manufacturers in application areas including aviation, telecommunications and surveillance. Link: ICT 2010 |
